"Top quality smoke in all aspects"
There's nothing really bad to say about this cigar. It's solidly rolled with a nice wrapper, has a very good draw and a decent burn. It's a tasty smoke that's spicy and leathery with hints of dark cherry and cloves. Medium-full in body and strength, it probably shouldn't be had on an empty stomach but it's far from overpowering. Very good overall.

"robust robusto"
A powerful smoke with a nice draw. Heavy earth notes with tar and wood mixed in. Like the guy at the cigar shop told me, don't smoke this on an empty stomach.

"Nice, but my least favorit LFD"
Flavor was medium and somewhat blan in the second half. I tasted a little of the Ligero... I also think it needed some aging.

"fantastic"
At the time of this writing this is my favorite cigar hands down. The true ligero brings a powerful and robust body to it. It starts off a tad peppery yet still refined and builds smoothly until a wonderful sweet spiciness kicks in for the latter 2/3'rds. I couldn't ask for more in a cigar flavor-wise (it deserves better label art though)

"num num till nub"
as your palate matures youll love these more and more. at one time the CAO Brazilia was complex and full for me, but i noticed LFD took over for them in my daily rotation. i appreciate the complexity and i find the body to full not powerful like the DBL Ligero line or even OpusX.
oily, sweet and smooth to the NUB!

Great value. Low price and a wonderful flavor. Construction close to perfect, just a great overall experience. Always have at least one in the humidor.

"a great smoke, if you can get a good price!"
i got a box of 24 of these for about $78 a while back. i hadn't had the LFD ligero before, just the LFD double ligero, and had been so impressed by the richness, strength, and complexity of the previous smoke to go out on a limb and buy this box. for just a little over 3 bucks a piece, this was one of the best investments i've ever made in cigars other than buying my humidor!

let me level with you: its not my favorite. but i got a great deal on it, and it is still an outstanding smoke. i've finished them all by now, but i took my time with the box to let a few of them sit in my humi for a couple months before polishing them off. appearance and construction are absolutely first rate. its a decently powerful smoke.

but every once in a while the flavor just didn't suit me, it felt like i was sacrificing flavor for strength. it smoked wonderfully, though, and i never had a problem with burn, hotness, or anything, really. every once in a while the cigar began with a somewhat bitter taste; after about a half an inch to an inch this disappeared.

i could name a number of cigars i prefer to the LFD L-300, but for the price this is a good smoke from one of my favorite brands.

still, i'd choose a double ligero maduro over one of these any day of the week!

"Nice Spice!"
I prefer the larger ring size of the L500 but this was still a very nice smoke. One of the finest constructed cigars I have ever smoked! This is a nice after dinner smoke.

"amazing"
The 300 has a beautiful oily, chocolate-brown wrapper. It's color turns considerably lighter around the plentiful small veins.
The cigar had an easy draw and a perfect burn right down to the nub.
It was strong, but not harsh, except for the first 1/4", which was to be expected.
It had a strong palate of fresh-cut hickory, tree sap, roasted coffee, and chocolate, with hints of almond, walnut, pistachio, cinnamon and charcoal.
What a lovely cigar and a great value. I could smoke these all day long!

"Correction to previous review below"
This is a correction to my review of the L300 below...the review I put up was for another cigar that I mistakenly thought was this cigar. (the wrong cigar was a LFD Ligero "cabinet" oscuro that is not listed on this site).
Now my review for the L300:

Very strong cigar, I wouldn't recommend to newcomers. Smoke it too fast and you'll get a cigarette-equivalent buzz. Has a very strong pre-light smell to it, and with the "Ligero" word on the band you can pretty much bet it will be strong. Smokes that way, and is very LFD tasting (if you've tried others LFD's), has that cedar/wood/spice taste to it. Nothing overly amazing or complex however. Decent construction but the flavor really started to fade about 1/3 way down. That ruined it a bit for me, but I didn't mind because I can't go on too long with cigars this strong.
If you like the Edge or Ashton VSG's you probably will like this cigar. It's about as strong as those.

"Beefy"
My first real maduro. A great smoke with even burn. A little spicier than I expected but not necessarily a bad thing. I would definitely buy another and perhaps a box. Great if you like a medium to full bodied smoke.

"Not bad for $4.. but there are better"
This cigar was tangy the first inch as the first reviewer said.. that was interesting as I've never experienced that before.. If the cigar were lighter and less harsh, it would have been a nice citrus type of flavor, but the strength overwhelmed it a bit. As it got further down, very little spiciness, but a peppery taste that got strong and bitter at the end. I would smoke it again, but with some more age on it. It was also stronger than I had anticipated and left a very minor buzz on me despite the small size. Would rather smoke a Piranha for the size and value.

"Not bad at all..."
I was a bit reticent per the reviews I have read, but this cigar isn't bad at all. Very solidly rolled w/a somewhat firm draw. Not overly complex, but nice w/notes of cedar, straightforward tobacco flavor & hints of sweetness in the finish & nose. The flavor intensifies right toward the end w/an emerging spice tone & some highs in the sinus. I'd call it medium to full & quite smooth.

"Average Cigar"
Being a big fan of the double ligero Chisel line, I thought I would try a box of the L300 and L400 cigars. The L300 looks good, is well constructed, has a good draw, and is a good mail order value at under 4 bucks per stick. However, the taste just isn't that exciting compared to the DL Chisel. I've smoked about 10 out of the box of 24 over the past month, and I think I'll let the rest age a little longer to see if they improve. At this point, I don't think I would purchase another box.

"spicy, strong"
spicy, strong, a little peppery, but not so much that you won't finish it. Good size, - any bigger might be too much.

"Offensive and Powerful"
This cigar was a combo of the Oakland Raiders and Mike Tyson. First off, the cigar looked and smelled very nice. The dual bands were fitted to each other's shape and the wrapper was attractive. When I fired this cigar up, I immediately realized that it was the most outwardly offensive cigar I ever have smoked. It completely engulfed the local bar I frequently smoke in with a putrid odor, so much so that the bartender came over and asked me to open the windows. The flavor was tangy, then spicy. Next a combo. Never harsh. Never sweet. It mellowed out towards the middle and then carried through pretty steady. I was drinking one glass of Maker's Mark; when I stood up to drive home, though, I felt like I had drunk the whole bottle. When I got home, I almost passed out in the shower while trying to wash the stench off of myself. My only gripes are 1) I had to relight it
2) Slight bitterness towards the end.
I can't wait to try this cigar again.
