"Powerful"
The overall construction of this cigar was near flawless. Slight touch ups were done along the way, nothing drastic though. The flavor was rich from the start, its strength held from the start all the way down to the nub. Overall, a wonderful cigar and one id go back to again & again.

"Brute Force"
The butt-kickingest stick I've ever put fire to, this puppy with knock you on your keister, so make sure you've have a nice, big meal before firing one up. This makes full-bodied smokes seem mild in comparison. Spice and pepper and wow about sums it up. A very good draw, but don't just puff puff puff on this thing. You'll be buzzing hard if you try to suck this thing down in an hour. Go easy, and let the power and flavor wash over you, otherwise you won't enjoy it.

"WOW"
What a tremendous smoke! I really enjoy the regular Chisle and grabbed two boxes (10-ct only) when I saw them available as they are always back ordered and how bad could they be,right? Well I was not prepared for the full bodied treat ahead of me. I have had three in the last month and these are without a doubt in the top 10 of full bodied cigars from any country. How to describe this...tremendous depth and complexity with a finish that lasts until tomorrow. Very deep and dark earthy flavors that have a great balance of subtle sweetness from the oily black wrapper. If you crave full body stop reading and go find some (and good luck)!

"Tough to beat"
This is easily my favorite Dominican and one of my top 5 overall cigars. I only smoke every once in a while cause they knock you on your ass. Seriously, if I smoked this cigar regularly most others would become obsolete. My palate would be spoiled and tolerant of spice to the point where other cigars would become boring to me. I've had 3 maybe 4 of these babies over the past 3 years, the one I smoked the other day I had in my humidor for just over a year. It had mellowed slightly, just enough to take the edge off this cigar so its layers of roasty, chocolatey bliss took front and center. Still, the cigars strength continued to show throughout. I'm not big on the shape though. Can be a nuissance.

"Spicey Powerhouse"
Solid construction with good draw and burn. This is a very complex cigar with flavors of spice, licorice, nutmeg which lingered after each puff. This is a full bodied cigar that goes great with espresso, scotch, or a full bodied dark beer.

"Power Packed"
The double helping of Ligero in this cigar really kicks up the spice, almost to the point of sensory overload. Spicyness is enhanced by the maduro wrapper and chisel tip, which concentrates the smoke on the taste buds of the tounge. My impressions were of white pepper, fresh jalapeno peppers, and cayenne. I love full bodied, strong cigars, and this one is the ticket.....the strongest La Flor Dominicana I have smoked to date. Give it a try.

"My go to stick"
These little devils are what spoiled me to most other smokes out there. They are a great smoke if you can handle the kick. Burn is uneven at times and will need some touch up if you don’t pay attention to them. I punch from top to bottom all the way through about 3/8" from the end. This crates the best draw on them I have found and it keeps the end in great shape throughout the entire smoke. I would have given them a perfect 10, but there has only been one thing on earth the was perfect.

"Don't Operate a Motor Vehicle"
A well made cigar with full bodied flavor from most in the couple of boxes that I tried. Some inconsistent burn issues but they were minor. Watch out for this one because, upon finishing one particular stick, I had to sit down where I actually became lightheaded and broke out in a sweat! And I've smoked a few thousand cigars in the last ten years without any having this effect. None of the rest had this effect, but I used caution while smoking them!

"Half-decent"
And by that I mean, that the first half of this stick was pretty tough. Started out with a tart, strawberry taste that built into a super-spicy fest that was not enjoyable at all. About halfway through, the flavor settled into a dense, full-bodied smoke that had some caramel undertones. Took this one down to the nub. Good appearance, and fantastic burn. Draw was a tad tight. If the first half were as good as the second half, I would have fallen in love with this one.

"Still in my top 3 or so"
I've found few cigars with this much body. I find the flavour strong and enjoyable, and the burn, construction, and consistency have been excellent through 10 or 15 cigars or so. BTW: From what I gather from articles on La Flor Dominicana's website, the chisel is designed to be cut like a torpedo, not v-cut or punched. The wide opening sprays the smoke over a larger surface of the tounge.

had this one about a week ago. looks amazing, with some good construction. no veins and a really good looking maduro wrapper. pre-light draw of pepper. first third of stick was really ejoyable. after that it completely flattened out. lost all flavor for me. no more pepper, no more anything. maybe a dud, but i'm not gonna find out.

"Worth every penny"
Now that I've figured out how to cut these guys--a puch on either side of the chisel, I pretty much love them as much as I'm supposed to. Feels great in the mouth and distributes the smoke very nicely. I never want to be without a few of these in the old cedar box.

"Good investment"
I'm surprised there aren't more reviews here. This is a damn fine cigar and people should know about it so they can buy them for me. Not as strong as the pansees will tell you it is, but it's a little strong. You can punch the top, but I find it better to clip the end like normal - more smoke. Peppery is a key characteristic. Other than that, no real flavors stand out. I don't get cocoa or coffee and all that jazz with this cigar. It does have a bold profile though which is a nice change. It's just a good overall stick. Smoke one! (try the ligero line too.)

"Smells stronger than it tastes"
The unique wedge-shaped head is what stands out, but it's also dark, oily, and solid. Clipping off a good portion of that head provides an adequate albeit slightly firm draw that produces a decent amount of smoke with a powerful aroma. The burn is excellent, mostly even requiring no corrections and the ash is well-formed. It's spicy and woody throughout and could use a bit more depth. Oddly, I found it to be medium in body and not very strong; this is even stranger considering I smoked a super-mild Griffin's yesterday. Still, it's a good cigar, just not what I was expecting.

"Gotta have one of these!"
A robust, deep tasting maduro, that combines spices (pepper), chocolate, and expressso, while giving a smooth draw that finishes with a woody-charred/charcoal flavor. Excellent! I also rceived several comments from people regarding the interesting aroma that it gives off.

"WHUF!"
A definite sit-down cigar. This has some significant punch to it, and is cocoa and coffee maduro with a bit of funkiness and tarriness in some areas. This detracted from the overall very nice flavors, and might dissipate with a few more months of aging. As it is, the LGCR maduros have a better flavor, just not quite as strong. Good for tormenting friends who think that a crummy Mac is a strong cigar!

"Good, somewhat spicy cigar"
This was an enjoyable smoke. I was prepared for a punch in the face after the regular ligero, (a very strong cigar), but this one seemed a bit more mild. The flavor was less spicy, but had more earth, chocolate and coffee flavors. The chisel shape was enjoyable as well.
