"best $5 cigar in a long time"
Try this. Stock up on them because they are one of the best values out there. Nutty, sweet flavor with excellent aromas. Well-constructed. Much better than the regular LGC.

"Outstanding when aged"
My initial review was on a mildly aged bunch (2-3 months) and I can enthusiastically report that they are vastly better when aged 1yr+. Medium+ overall in body and flavor, they are quite spicy at light with an excellent toasty flavor. In the middle they are medium and smooth with an outstanding balance of toasty, leathery, cocoa and toffee flavors. Always a top notch burn, this is a constant rotation in my 3 humidors.

"what a cigar"
great taste in this cigar, and is one i can always count on. Full flavored and smooth, with a great construction. Always a good pick.

"Tasty and smooth"
It's great to find a cigar that has such balance. All the Serie R cigars seem to have a full flavor without being harsh or too powerful. Overall they taste great, smoke smoothly, and don't leave your head spinning. I just picked up this No. 4 this afternoon. It was a tad green, but still very enjoyable. I should have let it sit a while, but I'm planning on buying a box, so there should be plenty of aged ones in my future!

"Not As Good as the #6 or #7"
For some reason this line smokes better in the larger rings. I smoked this little guy right after the #6.

"Okay, but ..."
weak draw. rough, patchy smoke. Bitter about 1/3 of the way through. I don't recommend this one.

"Very enjoyable"
I smoked this last night indoors, and I must say it was one of the best I've had in a while. The flavor was good, and I enjoyed its smoothness. There was a little problem with an uneven burn after about an inch, but it didn't bother me too much.

"Better"
If I am smoking a Serie R I go for the maduro and never could enjoy this pepper stick. I like full bodied smokes and finally I tried the smaller #4 with the lighter wrapper today. It is much better then the maduro. It was woodsy with a cedar sweetness. If I smoke a Serie R again it will be this one.

"Can be a real good smoke"
I've encountered some inconsistencies is this cigar, in everything from the appearance to the construction to the flavor and even the price. But when it's right, it's a real good smoke. I've never seen these wrapped in celophane, and I have trouble finding ones that aren't beat up, but in general it's thick, solid, and well-made. Although the draw can vary, it usually burns evenly with a nice ash and a good amount of smoke. It's spicy, tangy, and earthy with a papery flavor initially that later turns more cinnamon-like; medium to full in body, but not overpowering. A very good smoke, although I find the maduro version performs more reliably and tastes better.

"Very nice"
I personally prefer the maduro versions of these for the additional complexity, but the naturals are also excellent cigars. This one is medium overall in body, with a spicy start and toasty overall flavors. It was pleasant and plenty of vitamin N, but lacked the complexity to make it a top-rank cigar.

"Butt-kicker with flavor !"
A very nice flavored cigar throughout.. quite pleasant from the beginning and then it got a bit covered up by the tar and strength.. I had to quit about 2/3 down b/c I was getting a hard buzz.. but the flavor was awesome. Ash was good, but a little flaky and construction was pretty good with hardly any veins.

"Potent smoke"
Wow this is a strong smoke for it's size. Very good construction like a La Gloria's great burn lots of smoke great ash. Just a lot stronger then I had expected, and I like em strong but this one rocked me. Great taste spice and rich with a coffee finish. Oh some cedar flavors also. Good smoke.

"Milder than anticipated"
As mentioned this cigar was a lot milder than I had thought it would be. Lighter than than the regular line IMHO. Nice appearance - wrapper a bit streaky, good cap with nice seams. Burned evenly, however the ash was quite flaky. Nice cedar flavor that become more complex as you smoked.

"high quality smoke"
This was a very tasty cigar, but for the life of me I can’t put my fingers on the flavors. It had a nice ash, great draw but the burn was only "fair". Coffee finish. I smoked this down to my fingers, lasted awhile.

"Nice smoke"
These are well rolled cigars putting out loads of smoke and having nice draws. Taste was nice & spicy. Medium-full body, nice ash, taste is very nice, spicy, smooth, with a long finish.

"Better than the regular line"
This is a nice spicy cigar. I like the larger ring gauge, but don't think the wrapper is as nice as the regular La Glorias. Still, this has the flavor of higher priced stick at a reasonable cost.

"Great cigar"
LGC series R seems to hit that perfect balance of flavor, strength and smoothness. The only fault I can seem to find is they seem to draw a little tight on occasion.

"Good Smoke"
I found this stick a nicely priced surprise. Good flavor, even burn and excellent construction. Anyone who wishes to start smoking but does not want to mortgage thier house for high end sticks, then the Series R is a good place to start.

"Robusto R"
It's exactly as they state in the press buzz about taking the LGC's and putting them on steroids. Everything that I like about the LGC naturals are that much better in the Serie R. Very important was the firmness of the roll, indicative of an increase in the amount of tobacco. Slight construction problems. Not terribly complex.
