Cabanas is a historic Cuban brand name that found new life in the Dominican Republic, with a relaunched version introduced in 1998 and expanded in 1999. The new lines featured a Nicaraguan H2000 wrapper available in both natural Habano and Maduro expressions, giving it a more modern profile than the name's pre-revolution heritage might suggest. It has since faded from the market and is considered discontinued, though it remains a recognizable name to longtime cigar enthusiasts who remember it from the boom years.
