The CAO Pilón takes its name from the traditional Cuban method of fermenting tobacco in pilones — large stacks of leaf that generate natural heat through fermentation. The line pairs an Ecuadorian Habano Viso wrapper — a mid-priming leaf selected for its oiliness and complexity — with a Nicaraguan binder and filler. The Añejo sub-line uses the same Ecuadorian Habano wrapper and all-Nicaraguan construction with additional post-rolling aging, delivering a smoother, more developed version of the core blend.
