The Allegiance is a collaborative cigar between Casa Carrillo and Oliva Cigar Co., two of the most celebrated names in premium cigars. Unlike most Casa Carrillo lines made in the Dominican Republic, the Allegiance is produced at Oliva's factory in Nicaragua, reflecting the partnership's Nicaraguan focus. The wrapper is a premium 8th priming Ecuadorian Sumatra leaf sourced from the Quevedo region, known for producing especially rich and complex tobacco at the upper primings of the plant. The binder and filler are both Nicaraguan, making it a Nicaraguan puro aside from the Ecuadorian wrapper. The result is a medium-bodied cigar with a distinctive earthy and spicy character from the high-priming wrapper.
