Chavon

Chavon was an early and ambitious entrant in the Dominican Republic's race to produce a world-class super premium during the cigar boom years, going toe to toe with the likes of Partagas, Cohiba, and Montecristo at the $5 to $6 price point that defined the high end of that era. The blend combined Piloto Cubano and Dominican Olor long fillers under a Sumatra wrapper, a combination that delivered the kind of refined, complex profile that earned it genuine respect on the retail floor. It was one of the more successful boutique Dominican brands of its time, but like many boom-era labels it has since faded from production.
