The Cohiba Riviera debuted in May 2023 as the first new regular production Cohiba line since 2020, marking two significant firsts for the brand: the first box-pressed Cohiba and the first to feature a Mexican San Andrés wrapper. Named for the Riviera region of the San Andrés Tuxtla Valley in Veracruz where the wrapper is grown, the blend is produced at STG Estelí in Nicaragua, another departure from the brand's traditional Dominican Republic production. The filler draws from four distinct growing regions across Honduras and Nicaragua. A fourth vitola, the Lancero, the first lancero in the non-Cuban Cohiba brand's history was added at the 2024 PCA Trade Show.
