Cusano was founded in 1995 by Michael Chiusano, a former Wall Street pension fund manager who traveled to the Dominican Republic, discovered a cigar that stopped him cold, and never looked back. The name is the phonetic spelling of his Italian surname — a practical decision to spare customers the confusion. All Cusano cigars were produced at the Tabadom factory in the Dominican Republic under the guidance of master blender Hendrik Kelner, one of the most respected names in the business. In 2009, the Oettinger Davidoff Group acquired Cusano, drawn in part by the brand's exceptional value positioning and strong convenience store footprint.
The 10th Anniversary was released to mark a decade of Cusano cigars. It features Dominican filler tobaccos alongside Honduran and U.S. leaf, with an Ecuadorian wrapper, and represents one of the more premium blends in the Cusano portfolio. Offered in just two vitolas, it was a limited celebratory release rather than a full production line.
