El Gueguense

El Gueguense (pronounced el wah-when-say) is the debut release of Foundation Cigar Company, launched at the 2015 IPCPR Trade Show. The name refers to one of the oldest known Nicaraguan literary works, a pre-colonial folkloric drama. The blend is a Nicaraguan puro using Corojo 99 wrapper and binder from Jalapa alongside Corojo 99 and Criollo 98 long fillers from vintage 2011 and 2012 harvests in Jalapa and Esteli. The tobacco is additionally aged in cedar before release. Produced at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez in Esteli, Nicaragua.
