Felipe Gregorio

Felipe Gregorio is the flagship line of Philip Wynne, an American-born, Swiss-raised cigar maker who found his way to Honduras in the late 1980s after a career selling military helicopters in the Middle East. A lifelong smoker of full-bodied Cuban cigars, Wynne entered the tobacco world fascinated by what he found in the Copan and Jamastran regions of Honduras, where he believed the tobacco rivaled anything grown anywhere in the world. He Latinized his own name, combining his first two given names in Spanish, to create a brand identity that would resonate in the American market during the cigar boom years. Felipe Gregorio was built around terroir, aging, and small-batch production from the start, with Wynne sourcing limited quantities of tobacco he considered exceptional and making cigars in relatively small runs rather than scaling for volume.
