Flor de Los Reyes is a Dominican puro finished in a Sumatran wrapper, with all-Dominican filler and binder underneath. Sumatran leaf, grown on the volcanic island of Sumatra in Indonesia, is prized for its fine texture, subtle earthiness, and natural sweetness, and was a popular wrapper choice among Dominican-production brands during the 1990s and early 2000s. The resulting cigar is mild to medium in body, with the smooth Dominican interior tempered by the nuanced character the Sumatran wrapper contributes.
