Fuente Fuente OpusX 20th Anniversary

The Fuente Fuente OpusX 20th Anniversary was released in 2015 to mark two decades since Carlos "Carlito" Fuente Jr. first changed the cigar world with the OpusX. When the original OpusX debuted in 1995, it shattered the long-held belief that the Dominican Republic's soils could not produce wrapper-quality tobacco. Carlito spent years cultivating the rosado wrapper leaf at Chateau de la Fuente, the family's volcanic-soil estate in El Cibao, until he had something he felt was worthy of the Fuente name, and the result was the first-ever 100% Dominican puro at the premium tier. The 20th Anniversary is a deliberate departure from the core OpusX's signature intensity. Where the original is built around high-priming wrapper leaf and is famous for its full, forceful character, the Anniversary was blended as a medium-bodied tribute, offering the same all-Dominican construction and Fuente craftsmanship with a smoother, more approachable profile. Vitola names, including God's Whisper, Believe, Power of the Dream, and Father's Son, carry the personal and reflective spirit of the release. The cigars were presented in limited-edition collector packaging and produced in extremely small quantities, consistent with everything the Fuente family puts under the OpusX banner.
