The Ancient Warrior is a premium Dominican blend built around a Brazilian Mata Fina wrapper, the earthy and naturally sweet leaf from Bahia that gives this line a distinctly different character from the Connecticut and Cameroon wrappers more common in the Gurkha portfolio. Dominican and Honduran filler tobacco with a Dominican binder round out the blend, providing a full-flavored, medium-to-full-bodied smoke with the richness that Brazilian wrapper tends to bring. Five vitolas are offered, capping out at a 6 x 60 Emperor. The Ancient Warrior sits at the premium tier within the Gurkha family, priced in the mid-teens for the larger formats.
