Gurkha Vintage Shaggy takes a different direction from the Connecticut shade Vintage line, using an all-Dominican construction throughout wrapper, binder, and filler. A Dominican wrapper is a relatively rare choice, associated with a rougher, more rustic presentation than the polished Connecticut leaf, which is likely where the Shaggy name originates. The unfinished aesthetic contrasts with Gurkha's usual ornate presentation, suggesting this was a deliberate nod to old-school, no-frills craftsmanship. Four vitolas are offered, including a 6 x 60 XO perfecto, at prices between $6.80 and $8.40.
