The name, meaning "extra strong," signals the intent: this is Gurkha reaching for a fuller, bolder, more assertive profile than the Connecticut and Dominican-forward lines in the lineup. Costa Rican wrapper is a relatively rare choice in premium cigars, grown at altitude in volcanic soil and known for contributing its own distinctive character. Three vitolas are offered, including a substantial 7 x 54 torpedo at $11, and the line was produced in Nicaragua rather than the Dominican Republic, consistent with its fuller-flavored ambitions.
