Jose Seijas Signature

The Jose Seijas Signature Series was released in 2000 as the personal blend of Jose Seijas, the master blender and vice president of Tabacalera de García, and it represented an almost unprecedented gesture from one of the world's largest cigar companies: naming a cigar after an employee. At the time of release, the Signature was sold to only 23 shops across the United States, making it genuinely rare even by boutique standards. The blend uses an Ecuadorian wrapper over a three-country filler blend of Dominican, Nicaraguan, and Peruvian tobaccos with a Dominican binder, and it was described as stronger than most of the cigars Seijas produced at the factory, blended specifically for more experienced smokers. Seijas was noted as one of the largest users of Peruvian leaf in the premium cigar world, giving his personal blend a distinct identity from the milder Dominican construction typical of the Altadis portfolio. Eight vitolas are available including a perfecto and multiple figurado formats alongside standard sizes, priced between $12.50 and $16.
