OZ Family Cigars Bosphorus

The Bosphorus was the debut release from Tim Ozgener's OZ Family Cigars in 2022, named after the strait that divides Europe and Asia in Turkey, a nod to the Ozgener family's Turkish roots. Tim is the son of Cano Ozgener, the founder of CAO Cigars, and after a 12-year hiatus from the industry he returned with a blend that immediately earned 90-plus ratings across all four sizes from Cigar Aficionado, ranking in their Top 25 of 2023. Made at Casa Carrillo (formerly Tabacalera La Alianza) under the oversight of Ernesto Perez-Carrillo, it uses an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over a dual binder of Ecuadorian Connecticut and Nicaraguan Jalapa, with Nicaraguan fillers from Esteli, Jalapa, and Ometepe. All four sizes are box-pressed, delivering a medium-full profile of black pepper, cocoa, nutmeg, leather, and toffee.
