The Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real was introduced in 2003 as a step up from the flagship 1875 line, adding Nicaraguan long-filler tobacco to the brand's traditional Dominican base for a richer, more complex character. Produced at the Tabacalera de García factory in La Romana and blended by the Grupo de Maestros, it features an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and a Dominican-Nicaraguan filler blend. The line also includes Twisted variants featuring a dual Ecuadorian wrapper construction, combining Habano and Connecticut leaf rolled at Tabacalera de García for a distinctive look and layered flavor profile distinct from the base blend.
