"Superb"
It has been 3 years since I last reviewed this one. The original box is still aging, and I have one about every 3 months. EVERYTIME they are great!! Still packs a solid punch, excellent construction/burn, smooth bold flavor. Just a top notch cigar. Don't spend a bundle on some other premium stick, buy a box of these.

"One of the best."
I bought singles, then a box, then a second box. Consistently an excellent cigar across the board. I'm stymied by the reviews that claim they got a dud. My advice: try a deep v-cut if the draw seems tight; for the rest, consider finding a different supplier for your smokes. The La Flor Dominicana DL and the Coronado have made me a big Litto Gomez fan, and if there is one thing he does right it is his attention to quality.

"Disappointed"
Tight draw and uneven burn. Very little taste as a result of the draw. Very disappointed especially since this double ligero line has a great reputation.

"Man, I must have gotten a dud..."
Looked good, smelled good too. Absolutely terrible burn. I couldn't get the think to smoke right. Burned unevenly throughout, with very little smoke (about as much as when you blow out a match) for the first half.

Got better towards the end, but by the time it really started to smoke right, it was 3/4 done.

Very disappointing.

"Starts out slow BUT bam!!"
This is one of my favorite cigars. It starts off like a good medium bodied cigar, and towards the middle it really shines with a nice earthy, leathery flavor. The last 1.5inches of the cigar hold on to your drawers, this thing got bite!!! It take a man to finish this, even now I find I have to pace myself towards the end or I get a serious buzz. The ash is firm with nice color and is well constructed. The only down side is the burn is not a consistant as I would like. But the way this cigar flavor changes is fantastic starting out rather "smooth" getting a very complex "tasty" flavor and finishing by kicking your "a**". All this while not being harsh.

"Worthy of a re-purchase"
A fine cigar, I've tried the chisel before and feel that this cigar is more refined, it kind of reminds me of a slightly milder version of the Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970, the cigar is packed with tobacco and has a sweet and complex flavor with a hint of nutmeg on the palette, worth buying more.

"Fine Robusto"
Typical LaFlor with a kick. Beautifully constructed with a very full draw and flavor throughout. The burn was true and the ash held tight. The perfect cigar to kill 30 minutes while you tell your wife you're working in the yard. Highly recommend!

"In the running for Mr. Olympia."
Bought a box of these based on several singles purchases; the consistency of this cigar is excellent. Bold, strong and yet well balanced. Great flavor throughout, and never gets boring. Looks good, construction is close to flawless, and it costs considerably less than most of its competition. If you have the cojones to handle them, the DLs are some of the best full throttle smokes available.

"very strong"
A word to the wise, this is a very strong cigar. The words "Double Ligero" pretty much warns you of that on the label. The double is similar to the regular LFD Ligero line in terms of taste, but it's stronger. Typical Ligero filler, very spicy, even more so than the Edge and Ashton VSG. Almost maybe too strong; it's a little hard to enjoy the flavor when you get this much bite. Severe buzz factor with this cigar. Maybe the highest I've ever seen.
I would only recommend this one to those who like them very strong or are used to Ligero filler already, and when you do smoke it, take your time. If you like getting buzzed off cigars this one is for you.
Burn and construction are typical LFD which is very good. However this one's a little too much power for me, I prefer the Reserva, 2000, and El Jocko series more, thy're milder with a really nice woody taste.

"excellent"
This smoke packs a punch, full bodied, burn and draw were perfect, had to relight once, I think it would benefit from lower humidity. Started out strong and spicy and pretty much stayed that way. Very good after dinner cigar for the strong cigar lovers.

"Nice"
I am a big fan of the La Flor line. Had this with some coffee in the AM, what a great way to start your day. Flavor was very consistant with the other Ligero's I've had . This is a strong cigar. Lot's of smoke and a even burn.

"Wow"
I think I learned what a Ligero leaf is all about. This cigar is a POWERHOUSE! Excellent burn and draw. Very very spicy with hints of nuts. But what most impressed me is the strenth, I'm still buzzin from this one. A must try.

"smoooooths right out..."
The first half inch of this monster feels like sandpaper on my tongue, but then it settles in and becomes smooth and strong as polished steel. Reminded me of "fine Corinthian leather" as Ricardo Montalban would say. Double Ligeros in general are good cigars, and this one in particular is a helluva after dinner smoke.

"Get Ur Done"
Big Bold Flavor with this cigar. Had to let it burn out for a few minutes after first hit. STRONG! It mellows in the first quarter to a nice tobacco experience. Hints of cedar and nuts throughout. Burn, draw, and finish were excellent.

"excellent cigar"
This is my #1 favorite cigar. I love full body cigars, and until I got used to this one I was always blown away by the strength. LOTS of flavor due to the ligero leaf in it, and the flavor changes in the last 3rd of the cigar. Burns even too.

"Great Cigar!"
No complaints about this bad boy at all. Well constructed, nice end cap and firm to the touch. The foot lit well & burned fairly even all the way down. The ash was firm and very light gray. I punched the end cap and had a perfect draw. The smoke was abundant and very aromatic. The taste is peppery but smooth. I'm glad this one didn't pack the same punch as the Ligero L500. I'm definitely going to stock these!

"watch out for the end"
All the reviews of this line had me expecting the usual, harsh, cheap tasting cigar that typically goes along with words like "powerhouse" and "butt-kicker". I lit up and was greeted with a peppery taste, a little bold, but nothing insane. After the first 1/2 inch - inch the cigar settled into a medium bodied wood.dominican_soil.leather.marshmellow flavor (yes, I said marshmellow.. only way I can describe that particular taste). As I was thinking about the wimps who had been blinded by marketing the last 1 - 2 inches was creeping up. When it hit that mark, the cigar changed from a tattooed cat to a tiger. It became quite full bodied and I suddenly wished I had saved this for after dinner rather than before. The bad thing, is as it picked up power, it picked up a metallic taste as well.
Burn and draw were both quite good.
