"strong but not too strong"
I stayed away from the Double Ligero because I didn't want that strong a cigar. This was strong but only for the last couple of inches. Flavor was very good I thought with nice aroma and absolutely perfect burn. I kept this at 68/68 for about a year. I recommend it.

"(Oscuro Natural?!?) A CRUEL JOKE."
I really wanted to like this cigar..........crap crap crap crap crap crap crapity crap-crap-overpriced C-R-A-P!!!!!!!!!!!One dimensional flavor, (and not a good dimension to be in), smoke was very harsh, (more to breathe in, then to taste) I had to take it outside, not because it stunk (which it did) but because it stung my nose to breathe. Apparently after doing some research here at Top25cigar; this "Oscuro Natural" is a Natural wrapper "processed" (in the words of the owner of the company) to make it look like an aged Oscuro (which BTW does NOT)..."it give's it a sweet flavor too"). So we have a flavored cigar with an artificial wrapper, masquerading around in a premium-priced suit! THIS IS A CRUEL JOKE PLAYED ON CIGAR SMOKERS!!! buyer beware. I simply can't smoke these, and I'm even having a hard time giving them away.

"Toasty"
The Ligero 400 produces a nicely refined corojo-like aroma, a somewhat sweet, slightly toasty scent. Toward the mid-point it picks up some pepper and it bites down just a little. The flavor is fairly dry with a tinge of astrigency on the tongue. Overall this is a very nice cigar, toasty with some sweet overtones and a short bitter aftertaste. And the construction is top notch.

"L400 Oscuro...A dud"
I used to like this cigar a lot when it first appeared about 3 years ago. I recently bought a box of the L400's with the new oscuro wrapper. The cigar's wrapper was veiney but oily and looks pretty good on the surface. Its taste and flavor, however, consists pretty much of pepper and spice, without any lasting depth. The burn quality was very inconsistent and the tobacco tasted green. If all you're looking for is a lotta kick and strength without flavor, this one is for you. Way over-priced and over-hyped.

"Overhyped"
Although better than the L300 maduro, this natural wrapper one wasn't all that great. It was spicy and toasty at light, and medium/full with an indistinctly funky flavor in the first half. The second half was pretty full and leathery but also pretty gritty. Decent but nothing special, the LGC series R are much better.

"Full Flavored Dominican"
I like this cigar very much. Excellent construction, draw and burn. Even ash. Medium to full with a solid tobacco flavor and a little bit of spice. Not much sweetness. If you like Dominican cigars but find many are too weak, give this a try. It is a good example of what a fine Dominican cigar is all about. Worthy of a box.

"Great!!!"
A friend brought these over one night and I had very low expectations. However, I was really surprised at what a plesant smoke it turned out to be. Super easy draw and loads of spicy flavor. No bitterness until the very end. I'll definately smoke these again, but only after a large meal. It did pack somewhat of a punch, although not as bad as an Opus X or some of the Camachos I've had.

"smoothie"
Got one of these out of their sampler pack. Would like to have a few more to check them out closer. As others have noted, not a strong of a cigar as I had thought, but no wimp either.

"Defending the Dominicana Ligeros"
Can't believe that one would be disappointed by this cigar! Perhaps they were a bit strong for their tastes. I for one have enjoyed every cigar I have smoked in this line from LFD. Has great character which changes from start to finish. Starts tangy and develops into a beautifully rich, naturally sweet smoke. I do confess that the DOUBLE Ligero line is a serious powerhouse smoke that I can only take once and a while but the single Ligero line is an excellent cigar for anyone who likes a full bodied smoke.

"Nice but disappointed at the same time"
A lot of "hype" directed toward the LFD Ligero line. I bought three L400's to try out and am frankly somewhat disappointed. Had I not established higher expectations I probably would have been more impressed.

Nice construction. Somewhat inconsistent burn. VERY easy draw, too easy actually, on the one cigar I've tried so far. If this turns out to typical, I'd suggest a small diameter punch in spite of the 54 ring!

Flavor was pleasent but not at all complex and much milder than I expected. Unless the next two are dramatically better for some reason, my curiosity will be satisfied and I'll be moving on without these!

"Another interesting smoke"
Set in the humidor for 3 months. It has a nice oily wrapper, with very little visible veins. Good cap construction, but a little bit hard to cut. Pre-light draw is pretty easy, but isn¡¦t that easy to light this cigar, but maybe the ring size is too large. Ash is grayish with a little bit of light brown tone to it, and it is pretty firm but flaky. Draw is very easy, and smooth, and I feel the smoke is mild to medium. Tastes minty/tangy, but more towards tangy, and seems to have an earthy aftertaste. I¡¦m not so fond of the aroma (smell of the smoke of the cigar). Medium to large smoke volume, but it is too strong (the nicotine level is too high). The cigar is not my type, but a wonderful experience. Smoke about half of it, then discard it (mainly because the wrapper came off by half of it).
