"Short Story Beater"
This is an excellent small cigar. It easily beats the more hyped Short Story in everyway, which is a very good cigar in its own right. Give this one a try, you won't be disappointed.

"spicy"
Spicy and peppery from start to finish, easy draw lots of good smoke. Had some uneven burn, but not too bad. Lasted around 45 minutes, nice enjoyable smoke

"SPICYYY!"
WOW! I picked one of these to try...The first 1/3 had nice slightly spicy, coffee, earthy notes, and then...Halfway into it…It hit me like a ton of bricks!! WOW, like eating a habanero pepper! I had to take a drink of my Stout, and then it got even better!! It definitely compliments dark beers well. Definitely a cigar of Cuban descent! What a treat!

"Strong yet Smooth"
Pick a couple of these up at a local shop... they're like a regular La Gloria but alot stronger and smooth, and with more pronounced chocolate and coffe flavors, burnt a little uneven though. Lots of chewey smoke.

"Suprise"
This little bugger really suprised me. It lasted an hour, and a hour of pleasure I will add. Started of peppery, then leathery coca. A real treat. Highly recommeded!!

"Above Average Shorty"
Rich and oily maduro wrapper on this one -- looks good enough to eat! The initial taste is peppery, sharp but not strong. There is a little bit of a bite. The aroma is of sweet wood — cedar, almost piney. A few minutes later there’s some sweetness from the maduro, and a bit later some sulfur and leather. The aroma remains true to its cedar base. The aftertaste is rich and chocolatey — strangely similar to the scent of the cigar in a pre-lit state. My only complaint is that it burns a little too hot toward the end. One of the better short smokes I've had.

"Decent"
This cigar did not taste like its wrapper would lead you to believe it would. The flavors were enjoyable, but not bold or spicy like you'd expect from a pitch-black cigar. Overall, it tasted a lot like the Dominican Ramon Alliones I had last week, maybe a bit more leathery though. In general I liked it and may buy a couple more to have around as short smokes, but I could just as easily live without them. They’re not at all bad, just not distinct enough to get too excited about.

"Not like the other reservas"
Well, the construction was flawless and the flavor was ok. It did not smoke like its sister with the Ecuadorian wrap.

"Less than spectacular"
This thing missed its mark as a great cigar, but hit the bullseye dead on average. Nothing flavorful or eventful here, just earth and mild-medium maduro at best and that's not good enough considering LGC's track record. Will not have another 'cuz it just doesn't pack much of anything that would bring me back when compared to many other smokes.

"Long lasting"
As Merlyn said, this cigar burned very slow and lasted almost an hour for a cigar the size of a Short Story. It had flavors of earth and coca, and a smooth draw with lots of smoke. Nice cigar, though I'd choose a Short Story over this for the price.

"Solid maduro cigar"
This cigar had a long burn despite the small size, about 45 minutes overall. It tasted like cocoa mostly, and had little complexity. I noted no spiciness like the other review, but it was a medium/full bodied flavor and good throughout. With some extra complexity this would be an outstanding cigar rather than just a good cigar. At $6 it needs to be an outstanding cigar.

"Good cigar"
This is a quality cigar. Jet black wrapper, great construction, nice band. Prelight draw gives a sharp taste of spice. Burns evenly with a smooth draw and produces a ton of smoke. Medium to full bodied and fairly strong but is not harsh. Smooths out about halfway down to a creamy chocolate-like flavor, yet stays fairly spicy all the way down. Starts to get warm around the band and is too hot past the band to nub. Compares favorably to the WOAM at a much lower cost. Highly recommended.
