This cigar had a good construction, good draw and nice ash. Unlike most reviewers, my cigar started with nice coffee notes, was very spicy in the middle, and finished nice and mellow. Overall good smoke.

"Slow draw, low flavor"
This cigar looked like it would be a good one, but frankly it was a little dissapointing. The flavor was a little bland, and the draw was a bit firm. Not a bad smoke for someone wanting a milder cigar, but I wouldn't purchase them again.

"One boring maduro"
Not at all what I'd expect from a maduro cigar. It looked good, drew well, and burned well but the taste was simply absent... more like a lite cigarette than a cigar.

"The Mac-Attack"
An extraordinarily good looking cigar, this dark maduro offers a good flavor to go along with the looks. The draw is sometimes a bit tight, but the above-average taste is worth working for. No burn issues, and nice ash. While the Macanudo Maduro is a highly touted cigar, it doesn't quite justify the high price, in my opinion. Grab a few, and you won't be disappointed in the cigar, but the price is another story.

"Enjoy a cigar"
A cigar should not always be a test. This is a great mild maduro. I don't even rate them any more when I light one up. I just enjoy them.

I'm new to the game, but I've bought two boxes of these dispite the price. (Fortunately, price is not a factor.)

This is a nice sweet wrapper. (OK, I just came off flavored cigars. I'm a newbie.) Always a good mild smoke.

Still, I've smoked my share over the past year (mild to full) and this is up near the top of my list (if you're a mild smoker). It's a good smoke all the way through. Granted, draw is not perfect, but BFD.

If you want a nice mild smoke and this is in your price range, dig in.

"Straight forward"
This Macanudo was a very simple smoke. The draw was tight, but the cigar burned evenly. The flavor was mild, especially for a maduro, with some cream and coffee flavors. Overall, a possible introduction for a beginner to maduros, otherwise probably not worth your time.

"Mild and bitter maduro"
A decently made stick with a streaky wrapper. The draw is rather firm but the burn is OK and leaves behind a nice whitish ash. It has straightforward earthy maduro flavors but also some charcoal-like bitterness that leads onto the finish. Still pretty mild for a maduro and probably best-suited for the newbie cigar smoker.

"Better values around"
Appearance and construction good. Good draw, that's about the gist of what I can say good about this cigar. Everything else about this cigar is average at best. There are better values in a mild maduro to be had.

"Tough draw"
I bought a few of these while on a cruise and was very disappointed. They look and feel like a great smoke but the draw was so difficult I had a hard time keeping it lit. Even after much massaging I wasn't able to get any smoke. I have the other two sitting in my humi now, I'll let them soak up some moisture and try them again in a month or two.

"Nothing too special"
I hate to go along with the stereotypical description of Macanudo, but it is simply the truth. This cigar was pretty damn one dimensional. Although, and isn't there always an "although", the construction was great, the burn was perfectly even(though draw was tight), and it smelled nice before it was lit. In addition, the maduro wrapper added a lot to the Macanudo taste. Unfortunately, what makes a good cigar in my book is all of the above weighed against price, and this one didn't come out all that well.

"vbSmoke - Macanudo Maduro"
Its pretty one dimensional, static leather and little coffee like mix with light cream. If you are up to no suspires(dynamic characters flavors) and just want to have a nice regular smoke before bed, go for it. Ash is strong, burns well and draw is okay and somewhat even, Although at the end when about 2 inch left, there are wooden notes, then they disappear and same flavor as before but converts into more full bodied cigar, good cigar. Oh and you should age this one for at least couple of weeks, my first one right out wasn't as good as the one right now. good night.

"Still Mac"
Well, macanudo does it again. They made a cigar as mild as possible. I like marudos in general because I find that they tend to have a little more spice than other cigars. This one was not spices, it could have been EMS and I could not have told the difference if I were smoking in the dark. Too pricey for just another Macanudo.

"High hopes, but..."
I waited for a while to try this stick, both from word of mouth, reviews, and reputation. Appearance was OK, but not oily at all. Tasted average at best, not worth all the hype (little TOO mild w/ no finish), which makes me think I got a fluke (I do that often it seems). I'll try another, if there's an easy change. Burn was even though, and construction was pretty good.

"ok..."
First of all, I want to say that I'm slowly losing my Macanudo respect. They were one of my first "real" cigars quite a few years ago and I thought it was amazing. I smoke these now and I realize that this is a very average cigar and the Maduro is no exception. Decent (not breath-taking) taste of creamy coffee, good burn and nice to look at. Not much else to tell. A very basic cigar. I guess i could go along with it if the price was lowered $3.00. It is slightly better than the Robust Hyde Park.

"A smooth ride till the end"
The draw was great from head to foot. The flavor was akin to a strong, creamy coffee; bold, but not overpowering. Even though you're not supposed to, I smoked this bad boy to the nub. It was that good. I wish it was cheaper, because I'd like to get a box of these.

"Maybe I'll try another one..."
Five pack from CBID. I was not impressed by this smoke at all. From what I had heard about this brand, I was expecting a lot more than a so so cigar. This smoke is strong on the leather. Tasted like I was chewing on my belt. The finish was weird, and I can't explain it. The look of the cigar is fairly good, with decent construction and an easy draw.

"I thought this would be a better smoke"
I thought this stick was more average compared to some of the hype Macanudo gets. I will agree it is a better smoke than the Natural Hyde Park. It burned ok, but not as solid rolled cigar than what I expected. THe taste however for me left a bit to be desired. I would have this cigar again, but not interested in buying them. If you like the Maduro taste try an EL Rey Del Mundo Robusto Oscuro and save a bit of cash, making this cigar not a good value for me.

Mild strength but a good complex and full-flavored cigar. Non-cloying sweetness is well-balanced by just enough bitterness to evoke dark chocolate or richer coffee blends. Construction is cosmetically inconsistent but functionally sound.

Wow, what a great experience. Pretty even burn and doesn't vary if you draw it a bit fast (or frequent). Think it is great whether enjoying with a Brandy or Coca-Cola on ice. The Coca-Cola really drew out the mocha flavor. Made me switch from Hoyo Maduro and never looked back.

"Sorry it was over."
Incredibly mellow start, though suprisingly uneven burn from what I'd heard was a perfectly made cigar pretty near 100 percent of the time.
Seems to be a smoke that you can make of what you will...Loads of subtly flavoured white smoke to begin with,
Halfway stage builds to a much more robust flavour, and finally ends in a pretty good headspinning strong cigar if it's been smoked that way...Or, not I presume if smoked more slowly. Therefore would seem to be a difficult cigar to "oversmoke" for this reason. Take a couple of hits too soon from something stronger and it tastes like someones set fire to a donkey in your mouth. The hyde park seemed to grow very steadily and subtly stronger until I suddenly and unfortunately found I'd smoked it as far as I could go.
Honestly sorry it was over. Very, very pleasant, but very much in the mild smokers camp.
I think I'd probably still enjoy something with a bit more of a kick up it's arse to begin with.
