Started out like a kicked up macanudo. halfway thru became rich and creamy. appearance was oily chocolate.

A great addition to the Macanudo line, a solid smoke with nutty and coffee characteristics. I will keep some in my humidor.

Just an enjoyable smoke every time. What more could a person want.

The Robust hyde Park is great. The flavors are stronger
and totally different from the older line of Macs.

Purchased a box of these, anticipating some 'extra kick' over the regular Mac Hyde Parks, and have been 'rewarded' with one of the worst draws on a 'super premium' I have ever encountered .. not just on one but on every single one I have smoked so far. The taste is a notch higher than the regular Macanudo, certainly, but it would be nice to be able to experience it without having to work around the terribly tight draw. They look good, burn fairly evenly, and are nicely 'hefty' in the hand. Beautiful ash. I'll go elsewhere to find that extra flavor from now on though, and seek a cigar that doesn't require such work to try to enjoy.

One of the first cigars I smoked when first starting and after 10 years, it still goes strong with sentiment. Mild but well balanced. Burned well and love the white ash.

I expected the Robust to have more body and more depth than traditional Macs. Out of the box, it looked loke a winner However, it smoked with only a slightly greater kick than the traditional Hyde Park. That said, construction, burn etc were excellent but if you are looking for an earthier or heavier blend, go elsewhere

Got a 10-count box of these and other freebies from a local Mac event. Slightly rough in appearance, they draw slightly firmly with a decent burn and ash. I wouldn't describe these as flavorless although I wouldn't call them 'robust' either: they start off with a mild and straightforward earthy flavor, but in the second half of the smoke they develop a charry bitterness. As stated by others, okay for nonsmoker buddies but probably just a yard-gar for the rest of us. Please DON'T buy at the avg. price stated above of $8.

As the title states, average cigar with average taste in the mild-mid range. Burnt well, ok construction. Great for beginners.

I thought, perhaps, this cigar would improve with age, but it is still a fairly tasteless example of what Macnudo typically does. Just too mild and too expensive to justify getting any more of these. Once my last couple are gone, they are gone. This would be a fine cigar for a new smoker IF they were 1-2 bucks each.

This was a pretty mild tasting cigar but not to mild to make it boring.The cigar looks good and smoked really well with no problems,ash was decent and the burn was nice and even.This is the second one I have smoked and have another in the humi. and both were consistant and expect the same with the last one.It was recomended to me,so when I try some thing I like to buy a few.Pretty sure though when I smoke the last 1,I wont be looking for them again,nice mild smoke but for the money there is others I like more.

Got this one in a famous-smoke sampler. An average cigar, with slightly bitter and slightly harsh taste, very little actual flavor, decent burn and average construction.

This cigar was alright, didn't have much of a flavor, but it was constructed well and burnt well. It did have a slight harshness the first half but the rest was fine

I haven't had a Mac that I have really liked. The only good I can say is it was constructed well. I have had White Owls that I liked more. There are way more cigars on the market that cost less that are way better.

Well, for once I've smoked a macanudo that had some real flavor, unfortunately the flavor was bitter and hard to finish. Ok...maybe the next one will be the Mac with good flavor rather than either none or bad flavor? TOOOOO prcey for any Macanudo.

I have not had a Macanudo in years because
I did not like the somewhat bitter taste.
However, for less than $6.00 apiece I tried this newer offering. I found it to be a decent cigar for mowing the lawn or an afternoon on the deck. Smoothest in the middle with hint of bitterness toward the end. Good cigar, not great.

Well this is a hell of a lot better smoke than the regular line to say the least. It's just nothing great. It did have some nice spicy flavors to it alone with some sweetness. The construction was pretty good too. Over all this is the best Mac i've had.

Perfect burn and draw on mild but tasty smoke, lots of smoke with some spice. Flavor was consistant thru out. A bit mild for me but goes well after lunch with coffee or a coke.

Not a bad smoke, unless you take the "robust" part seriously... Starts out a bit musty, but that quickly dissolves into a creamy smooth slightly spicy smoke that gathers a little strength, but not much. No way I'd pay 9 bucks for this, but a decent cigar nonetheless.

not too complex, spicy throughout; however, there was a point about midway that it good a bit sweet and creamy. constuction was pretty good, with a pretty much even burn. I would say its a good everyday cigar; however, you'd get sick of it, smoking it everyday. Don't know why the average price is $9.00, you can get one in a hyde park 3-pack for $11.00 or one by itself for $5.50.

Well for a Mac this one is ok. The nat and Gold line's are just to bland and mild for me. This one holds some promise. It was an enjoyable cigar. It had enough flavor to keep me smoking it. The construction was great and the burn was very good with a good ash. The flavor wan spicy and creamy with some sweetness to it. For what you get there are a lot better smokes for this price though.

Aspiring to be a decent cigar, if the bitterness would go away I would probably like this. But the dominant bitterness from the first puff wants me to run away and never consider buying another. There are soooo many better cigars for less $...anything from Punch or Hoyo for starters.

I was given this by my bro-in-law and thought is was a good smoke all the way down. Medium body, smooth, toasted wood, one dimensional type cigar. Non the less, I did enjoy it!

A step up in flavor from the regular line but still not enough for the seasoned smoker. Take the regular Hyde Park and add a dash of ligero and maybe a bit of dragon's tail and eye of newt... oh, wait, wrong recipe. Good solid construction.

This cigar had a spicy taste that started off a little strong and mellowed. Cigar had a nice draw and was well made. Flavor not exactly my style but was supprised at the changing complexity of this one. Went sweet then creamy at one point midway without ever loosing its spicyness

The first few I had, I said to myself this is a cigar I can smoke every day and enjoy every puff. Well I gave it a shot and needless to say 20 days into it I tossed it off the balcony and gave the rest away. It sort of reminded me of smoking a burning log. I do however reccommend 1 or 2

A nice looking, well built, even burning robusto, with its fair share of flavour, even if sometime not particularly pleasant. A nice smoke, wouldn't buy a box but if I had one as a gift I would be pleased.. Not great value in Europe.

Nice smoke. Well endowed, for a mild leaf. Needs a little Monica to spice it up. Would smoke well with a Auise Shiraz.

Definitely a First Tier Smoke but I wouldn't classify it Among the Finest. If you liked this cigar, you will definitely like the Robust Lords.

Nice mild cigar with a very pleasant aroma and smooth taste. Burned very evenly, but the draw was a little slow. Overall a very good cigar that I will purchase again.

Macanudo is just a great name and this is a great cigar. Easy to pull, mild on the smoke.
Not to slow and not to fast on the burn.

Earthy wrapping. very veined. Pointed cap that invites a smaller clip.
Incredibly loose draw. Suprised me with the first mouthful of smoke. Smooth mac character mingled with up front coffee flavors and spice that are more pleasant for me than the Padron 2000 Robusto. Burnt a little hot on the last third of the cigar but otherwise very well rounded and enjoyable.

A nicely made mild flavored cigar which was generally smooth throughout, decent burn, plenty of smoke with a fair ash. Could use more character in flavor, but generally a good mild smoke. Good for those who enjoy mild smokes, newbies, and those ocassional cigar smokers
