A good looking cigar. Even burn. Good draw. A medium bodied cigar. Very smooth, but fuller bodied than the regular line. Good taste. Could use a little more strength. Firm white ash. buzz factor=5

Smooth, but definately bolder than anything else from Macanudo. They have a ways to go with "robust" cigars, though.

"A better Macanudo, though not a GREAT cigar"
This was the first cigar I had of the first selection of five cigars I received in my cigar of the month club I was recently signed up for. I was incredibly dubious as the only two Macanudo's I'd had up to that point were absolutely abysmal. Nevertheless, I gave it a try, and while it's size and mediocre construction does not lend itself to a very nice draw, the cigar itself was not too shabby. Mostly enjoyable.

"Sure bet"
I always find myself going back to these. Consistency has been solid over the years. Mild smoke with flavours of anise and toasted nuts. Draw has been flawless. I do prefer a medium to heavy smoke, but for a lazy summer afternoon, this is perecto. NOTE *In reading a previous commentator who got his mac. out of a sampler pack---I"ve never had a good cigar from a sample package (STAY AWAY). IE> I got a Upmann Vint. Cam. from a sample pack and thought it was the worst cigar i had, but upon having a fresh puro from a friend, I have smoked 3 boxes of these in my rotation.

"Fair but consistent."
Macanudo is not a maker of full bodied cigars. What they are is a maker of very consistent cigars. Macanudo's tend to be milder than most, light and nutty. This Robust is no exception. I bought a box of 10 and have worked my way through them. If you are looking for a medium to full bodied smoke, this is not your cigar. If you are looking for a mild to medium, then this is the ticket. I think Macanudo's are a touch over priced, but I have never had a "bad" Macanudo. You can almost always count on a decent smoke, slighty better than average. I found the Maduro line to actually be fuller bodied than this. The box of 10 has been felty, slightly nutty, silky smoke, and mostly a mild to medium. The 10th cigar tasted exactly like the first cigar. Not bad.

"mostly harmless"
Decent earthy, sweetish flavor to start....mostly mild to medium in intensity. Then about 3 inches in it turned shockingly bitter and bland. Typical Macanudo junk. Good thing it came in a sampler pack and I didn't pay a huge amount for it. How this ever got an 88 rating from CI is just astounding.

"Pretty decent"
A nice mild-medium smoke. Lots of flavour and a nice even burn. A bit over-priced but definately one to buy if you get a good deal.

"Pretty Good"
I would describe this cigar a mild to medium flavored cigar. The taste was very consistent simliar to the Macanudo taste just a little bit bolder. This was better than I thought that it would be. Draw was good and so was the burn. What impressed me was the cool burn and consistent taste to the last inch of the cigar with no bitter finish. It also left practically no aftertaste. I would recommend this cigar, but I think that it is priced a little too high- $7.00. It is worth about $4.50.

"disappointment"
Tried after one week and one monthe in the humidor...same results. Draw too tight. Surprisingly flavorless for a maduro.

"Thought it was a very good cigar"
Don't know about anyone else, but I thought it was constructed nicely, was well worth the price and burned like a dream. I'd even go so far as to say the taste reminded me of some higher up brands.

"pathetic, vapid smoke"
The single most flavorless item that has ever been lit, ever. Nothing more than marketing hype and a pretty face. Made with the intention of offending the least number of people this is a vacuous smoke. Solid construction is its only redeeming factor.

"A Lil Stronger Please"
I like Macs, It depends how I feel at the time. Do I want a maduro? to burst my lungs? Or do I want a mild to medium cigar to quench my needs for a mild yet flavorful cigar. This one is definitely mild. But, It will give a little buzz that is pleasing to the palate. I'll buy more of these for that particular time where I don't feel in the mood to be smacked in the face by a maduro.
