"rotten hay"
Great presentation...BUT...it tasted like moldy hay bales, hay that has been on the dirt, in the back of the barn. Nasty is the word that comes to mind. i thought maybe it was just the one, but nope, all 5. i've got other varieties of V.S.'s that are pretty good, but this one, just nasty!

"Hmmmm..."
Hit and miss with these. Last one barked like a dog...I threw it into the doghouse early. Just harsh, grassy and yucky. I've had some good ones within this line. 2.5 yrs box time.

"Not bad"
I had first tried the shorties (4x40) in the Triple Corojo, and they were really tasty. When the robustos came out a couple months ago, I had to try them. Tonight I fired the first one; the cap ripped on the cut, but still held together without issue. The initial flavor is very tangy, with lots of ligero flavor, as you would expect. It burned fairly well, though, and produced quite a bit of smoke. No, this one isn't likely to make a top 10 list, but for the price, it's a great yard gar. Near the end, I tried to pull the band for posterity, but it was so permanently fixed to the wrapper that it could not be extricated.
